Welcome To Center for Children’s Surgery in Nevada.
Center for Children’s Surgery was established in 1996 by Dr. Troy M. Reyna. The practice has grown and evolved to meet the needs of the expanding Las Vegas, NV community. Our primary mission is, and has always been, to provide the highest level of care to the children of Las Vegas.

Dr. Reyna was the first to introduce minimally invasive surgery for the children of Las Vegas. The first laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) was performed by Dr. Reyna in 1993. The first laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication was done in 1996. Through the years our methodology has advanced and changed with the times, but our goal remains unchanged: ”To provide the best care for our children.”
Center for Children’s Surgery specializes in minimally invasive thoroscopic and laporoscopic surgery. Our surgical expertise also includes the use of robotic surgery utilizing the Da Vinci surgical robot.
We have special interests in the care and management of childhood cancers. Hirschsprung’s disease, and all major congenital malformations. This includes deformities of the chest wall such as pectus excavatum and carinatum.
As pediatric general surgeons, the Center for Children’s Surgery can handle the entire gamut of surgical issues in children from simple lumps and bumps to hernias, both inguinal and umbilical, circumcisions and derangements of testicles. Malformations of the respiratory and gastrointestinal systems also fall within our level of expertise. The breadth of a pediatric surgeon’s training is very broad and complete.
We understand a parent’s stress level associated with their child needing to undergo surgery. By educating our little patients and their parents we are able to minimize the anxiety associated with a surgical prodedure. Bilingual written patient information and educational materials pertaining to pre- and post-operative care of your child are available on this web site. In addition, links to informative and supportive web groups are listed.
Our staff welcomes all questions from our little patients (kids), their parents, and referring physicians.
